Zach Messer died on August 20: Mr. William "Zach" Messer, 80, of Route 1, Altha, Fla. died at 11:55 a.m. August 20, 1967 in Calhoun County. He was a member of Victory Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from Victory Hill Pentecoatal Holiness Church. Rev. R L Lastinger will officiate. Burial will follow in Victory Hill Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home directing.
Survivors include four sons, James Messer of Picayune, Miss., Fonzel Messer of Panama City and Monroe Messer of Annapolis Md.. Four daughters, Mrs. Addie Mae Perkins of Blountstown, Mrs. Georgia Jones of Marianna, Mrs. Virginia Jordan of Orlando. Two sisters, Mrs. Ella Gray of Wewahitchka and Mrs. Emily Peacock of Marianna. 21 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren also survive.
