Delbert Alden Knudson
4/1/1895 - 1944
(Shown at age 33)
Delbert Alden Knudson was born on April 1, 1895 in Irwin, Iowa and died about 1944 in an unknown place. Actual date of death is unknown. He lived to be about 48 years old.

His parents came from Norway and could not speak English. He was the first generation born in America. He was Nicknamed 'Del' and had a wooden leg due to a fire injury as a child. His leg caught on fire when he tried to start a fire using Kerosene. He also had a tattoo of a woman on his upper arm. He had five brothers and sisters (we think). Date of death is unknown. Del was a well known Chef in the Omaha area and met and married a waitress named Oma Kosher. However, he told her that his name was Del Kingston. It wasn't until after their first child was born that his sister came to visit. After Oma learned that Del's real name was Knudson, she insisted that they be remarried with his correct name.

Del also had a great love for the stronger kind of drink. Between employment, he would pawn his professional Chef knives and tools. When he found another job he would ask for an advance to get his tools from the pawn shop. He was arrested for bootlegging, too.
