Boy Crashes Into Auto
Child Tugging Coasting Wagon Seriously Hurt Crossing Street

Delbert Knudsen, 8, of 4940 North Fifteenth street, was seriously injured internally early Monday night in a collision with an automobile while he was crossing the intersection of Sixteenth and Carter Lake Boulevard.
The auto that injured him was driven by Roscoe Conklin, 2624 North Sixty-sixth avenue, an employee of the United States Internal Revenue Department. Conklin said the boy, tugging a coasting wagon, ran into the street and the side of his car, which knocked him down. Conklin was arrested on a charge of reckless driving.
The boy's spleen was ruptured in two places. It was removed at the Covenant hospital. His upper lip was severely cut.
